Lisa Depew, CPA, CA is a seasoned finance professional with a wide range of industry experience. She is currently the Managing Partner of Accounting By Design, which provides Bookkeeping, Administration, Accounting, Tax, and Consulting services to small businesses, with a particular focus on the Interior Design sector.
When she’s not working, Lisa enjoys being outdoors and spending quality time with friends and family.
LILIYA SLISARENKO

Liliya brings over 20 years of accounting, bookkeeping, tax and business consulting experience to our team. She is a strategic thinker, creative problem solver, and is very detail oriented. Liliya is proud to be a part of the dedicated Accounting by Design team and enjoys working with the firm's creative and exciting clients. Her number one priority is supporting her clients by providing timely, accurate financial information and sound tax advice to ensure tax optimization. In her free time Liliya enjoys traveling, salsa dancing, and spending time with her family and her dogs.
CHARLENE MCMAHON

Charlene’s experience in bookkeeping and accounting comes from 13 years of working with a large insurance company. Analytics and problem solving are two of her strengths. She finds connecting with and supporting her many clients, to be rewarding. She enjoys working with the Accounting by Design team and appreciates the flexibility that working from home provides her work-life balance.
A fitness enthusiast, Charlene has been a personal trainer for over 25 years. She loves the outdoors, sports, music and animals. She especially enjoys walking and hiking with her dog.
KAREN SALONEN

Karen's extensive knowledge of accounting spans the last 25 years, making her a great addition to any business for their bookkeeping needs. As Karen is centralized in the west, she provides bookkeeping services primarily for western clients.

After graduating from the University of Toronto with a business degree, Sandra went on to teach math, computers, accounting and more.
Sandra is a mom, yoga enthusiast, dog owner, and an avid volleyball player. She brings to Accounting by Design her organization skills, willingness to learn and a penchant for helping others.
